A week ago we were in Tallin at the shows. All the cats we had with us did very well. Taika got certs both days, as well as was BIV, on Sunday she was also at the panel. Pilli got her certs and was NOM both days and became International Premior on Saturday. Mio (FIN*Zarin Querido Mio, ow. Heidi Suhonen) got the same results as Pilli and was also BIS both days. Mini (FIN*Saraitshikin Mini, Ow. Kirsi Männistö & Kai Koskimies) got certs and was NOM both days, on Saturday Mini became Grand International Champion. On Saturday the jugde was Luigi Comorio from Italy and on Sunday Sara Ojaniemi from Finland.

On Sunday evening Mandi got 5 sweet babygirls! We had quite a many malekittens here last autumn, so Mandi decided to change it, totally. Now, the mom is happy and the kittens have started to grow, so everything seems to be fine!	Mandi on Sunday, just before her delivery, looks a bit 'full'

Diva's purring Candy-kittens have moved to their new homes. It goes very well there. Karamelli went to Ellen and Luukas, Kismet to Heidi, Matti and Russian Blue Kirill, Kiss-Kiss moved to Kaarina, Leo and Ocicat Siiri. All of them, Luukas, Kirill and Siiri are already more than 10 years old cats, but Candy-kittens softened, with their persistence, 'I am jolly good fellow, believe me!, let's be friends'-behavior the hearts of the older cats very quickly and now they are very good friends. 11.1.2010. SUROK arranged the first (big!) shows of this year in Helsinki, Wanha Satama, 9.1. and 10.1.2010., as well as usual!
The weekend was full of excitement (some dangerous moments :-)), success, nice time to spend with the friends! On Saturday we took Ichi and Taika to the show. There were 8 Russians and our judge was Luigi Comorio from Italy. Ichi got his first CAC, was BIV-total and NOM. Taika got also her cert and was NOM. Primalux Posh Prada (ow. Linda Väänänen, br. Francesco Cinque) got Ex 2 in class 9 where there were 3 females. And Igor (FIN*Zarin Entusiasmo) got his third CAP and became Premior. On Sunday there were 13 Russians and they were judged by Marie Westerlund from Denmark. Diva got her second CAC, there were 4 females in her class. Sipsi (FIN*Zarin Jewel of Cioccolato, ow. Susanna Lavikainen) won her competitor in class 11, was also BIV in classes 12/11 and was NOM. Nirppu (FIN*Zarin Ebbra di te, ow. Olli Heinonen & Jenni Kotilainen) got her first CAP and went to the panel too. On Sunday Taika was BIV-adult. Both Ichi and Taika got their certs, were NOM  and also both became BIS!!! Diva's kittens, 3 little males, were born last week at night between Tuesday and Wednesday. The delivery went just fine. But just after we had really some 'crazy days' here... Diva didn't stay at the nest at all but thought that, now, the most important thing is to hide the kittens, quickly! Mandi lied with the kittens though, maybe she tried to show to Diva, who had her first litter, what should be done now. But Diva just went there, a peep to the nest and she took one of the kittens. And run very fast! The kittens were taken to a wardrobe, to a bookself, where ever, just out from the nest. The kittens were hungry, of course, and they screamed even more, so I had to give them some extra milk. These crazy days last 2 days, then, suddenly, Diva calmed down. Diva was happy with her nest, which was taken to another room (where wasn't any dangerous or high hiding places!). However I had done everything wrong with the nest, so she decorated it again. For me it looks a bit mess :-), but Diva is happy! The kittens started to grow and they got some more nurses there: Taika and also 4ever (after she had taken a look of them the second time and seen they are nothing dangerous).

Pirok show 26.9. Taika became IC and 4ever CH. Entusiasmo got his second CAP and Mio, after 1½ years he came to a show again, got his first CAPIB, and was also BIV and NOM neuter. Our judge was Glenn Sjöbom, he had 22 Russians today and Mio's head he praised to be the best :-)!

Prada, 'Enni' and Francesco	RUROK show.  On Saturday we were at the show in Vantaa, our judge was Monica Bokström from Sweden. Taika got her second CACIB, little Sipsi was again BIS-kitten. Posh Prada, 'Enni' was Ex 4 out of 5 young females. 4ever and Entusiasmo, 'Igor' won their competitors, especially because of the shape of their head, because of the better wedge. 4ever got her first cert in class 9 and Igor in class 10. All the photos from RUROK, except one, Pauli Araneva. KES-KIS show. 4ever and I went also to Jyväskylä last weekend. 4ever won, also this time,  her competitor and got her second CAC. The judge was Anna Wilczek from Poland.

All Taika's kittens have moved to their new homes. The males, Vladi and Vostok, live now and spend happy life of the little kittens in Luxembourg at Niina's home. Sipsi moved to the home of Susanna and her sons, and keeps her father, Niitti and halfbrother Donitsi running.

FIN*Zarin 4ever Primalux, own. Francesco Cinque, photo Pekka Savolainen	A week ago we went to SUROK shows here in Helsinki in Kaapelitehdas. On Saturday Mandi got her cert in class 7, she was also BIV and NOM. 4ever was the best out of 3 young females in class 11 and Primalux Posh Prada Ex 2 out of 4 female kittens (own. Linda Väänänen, br. Francesco Cinque). Vega got her HP and she was the best veteran too. The judge was Mira Fonsén from Finland.
On Sunday Gilda got her cert in class 3, Mandi another one in class 7, and she was again BIV and NOM. Blue Wind Tornado, 'Pitoto' got his cert in open class. In class 11 Ebbra di te, 'Nirppu' (own. Olli Heinonen) was the second out of 3 females and little Jewel of Cioccolato, 'Sipsi' was Ex 1, BIV youngster/kitten, NOM, BIS kitten, also the favourite cat of student judge Lars Werner Landsnes! Cioccolato al Latte, 'Niitti' (own. Susanna Lavikainen) got his cert in class 10, became Premier and was nominated too. 	What on earth! What is that little thing?! The cats gathered together to wonder little, brave hedgehog, who came to wonder the cats. Only about 5 centimetres between the hedgehog and the cats, the net between however...

5.7.2009. Taika is the best! At the last weekend in June in Middelfart Danish Russian Blue Klubben arranged the special Russian Blue show, where also Taika and I travelled. There were altogether 33 beautiful Russians, their owners, breeders and friends to our lovely blue cats from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Latvia, Germany and USA (from the last one only cats). Our judge was from Slovenian, Thea Friskovec, one of the best Russian Blue judges. Thea judged first the neuters, next the youngsters, kittens, the adults were in the end. Taika was in the open class, so almost the last one, only 2 cats after her. So, some excitement to the far end... When Thea had judged Taika and her competitors (Malevitch Opera, ow.&br. Maria Malevitch and Jumillas Northern Delight, ow.&br. Gudrun Dellwo), she told us, that these open class females are really very high standard and to list them in order is really very difficult! Huh! Some minutes with increasing heartbeats and Thea made her decision, Taika won!!! Besides Taika was the best Russian Blue female and became Champion! Wau! Taika went also to the panel, got there 2 votes together with a blue aby, and the fifth judge, who had voted for some other cat, got to decide between those 2 and took the aby. No matter, I am so happy of the results of the day; there were so many wonderful Russian Blue females! Allan Kastberg had given all the prizes to the special show and now Taika got one of his cups, so nice! Many happy things... At the show there was also Qat, Mandi's brother. I was very happy Camilla and Charlotte decided to come to the show with Qat, haven't seen him since he moved. Now I found a handsome, well-behaving cat, who is still as a neuter in very good shape. Big thanks to Camilla and Jan about that! A wonderful weekend; well arranged show, a lot of beautiful and handsome cats, many dear old friends, new people, a lot of talkings, fun, laugh, excitement. Even the sun smiled us all the weekend. Could there have been so much more to wish anymore... :-)?! Huge thanks to all! The results from Saturday PS.Taika got also the cert on Sunday, Arja Martikainen was the judge and Taika's competitor was a Finnish cat, Hana-Bi Inari No Kami, ow.&br. Marianna Ripatti.

3.7.2009. Aurora and another of Taika's females, Jewel of Taika, have moved to their new homes. First Aurora was quite shy and didn't want to go further from the first familiar room, from a warm wardrobe neither. But after some days Aurora decided to conquer every space at Heidi's and Jari's home and when they had their housewarming party, it was Aurora who stealed the whole show; played, went from a lap to another, charmed everybody! Funny little Aurora! Taika's girl left today, with Johanna to Oulu, goes already around her new home, not afraid, only curious. And gets also cat company on Sunday, a little Ragdoll girl. Brave little Taika!

Talita's little girl was born in a beautiful, sunny Sunday morning - and her name is Incredible Aurora. Aurora left the nest already in her birthday. But not by herself however. It was Talita who took Aurora with her everywhere; to the other rooms at our home if I left the door of the kittenroom open, to grandmom Kapris, to my bed under the blanket... When Aurora was one week old, Talita just stopped and calmed down. Fortunately!

The first little Tenderini moved to their new homes already in the beginning of January, the latest one, purring Padano (he really purrs always, even at the vet), yesterday. Lovely, little 4ever lives here, with us, still for a while. From the new families I have gotten so many photos and mails, where they have told how it goes with the kittens. I am very happy of that and want to thank all of you! All the kittens are doing just fine! Happy, sweet, purring little Tenderini have charmed everybody :-)!	4ever 31.1.2009.

Taika, Mandi (behind) and Diva	For Tender's, Teddy's, Tenderino's visit here belongs a lot of big feelings, happy memories, some sorrows too, because except me, especially Taika and Diva felt so sorry when Tender left. No wonder, Tender is Taika's true love and Diva's dear papà! Taika's, Mandi's and Gilda's kittens are the last Tenderini. Happy, lively, healthy, pretty, sweet purring kittens have gotten their names, which all have, of course!, more or less to do with papà Tenderino.

The last Tenderini were born yesterday in the evening when Gilda got 2 males and a female. Everything went very well and Gilda looks happy with her newborns. Gilda is now in her own room, as long as the kittens are a bit older. Then she can move to Mandi, Taika and their kittens if she wants to. Quess what Gilda did today however? She carried one of the bigger kittens to her nest, I found Taika's female kitten there...	Diva takes a look of the newborns

17.10.2008. We have kittens!
Last weekend we got quite a many kittens! On Saturday Taika got 4 males and a female and on Sunday Mandi 2 males and a female. The kittens came to the world quickly and easily, the smallest one weighed 94 grams and the biggest one 122 grams, the others something in between. Mandi and Taika take care of the kittens together, of course! The kittens have grown well and they all look so happy in the nest. Diva was quite afraid when the kittens were born. However on Monday she played in the kitten room, on Tuesday slept in the nest. I am sure Diva will get so excited when the kittens start to walk a little! Last weekend the father of the kittens, Tender, were at the shows, first time as a neuter, in his hometown, Milan. His success was huge! On Saturday our Papà was best of best 2 and on Sunday BOX neuter!	All eight!

The first weekend in August we were at the shows of SUROK in Kaapelitehdas in Helsinki. On Saturday Gilda (GIC FIN*Zarin Gilda) gor her certificate in class 3, as well as Tender (IC DK*Tender Beauty Blue Balder) in class 5. Tender became also GIC. Vega (EP&IC FIN*Zarin Vega,DSM, own. Heidi & Janne Rand) was at she show on Saturday too, and enjoyed again to appear there to the full. Vega was nominated to the panel. Matti, Jaana and their children were all there to encourage little Zelda (FIN*Zarin Zelda, own. Jaana Tuononen & Matti Vähäkuopus), who was shivering quite a lot at her first show. But she did fine and got Ex 1 in class 11. There were quite a many kittens on Saturday, Viivi Viuha's (FIN*Harmuan) beautiful Söpöset and our Diva (FIN*Zarin Divina Commedia) and Niitti (FIN*Zarin Cioccolato al Latte). Danish judge, Lone Lund, decided to give Ex 1 and Ex 3 to Söpöset-males and Niitti got Ex 2. Diva got Ex 1 of the female kittens (and was BIV in class 11/12, also nominated) and Söpöset-females Ex 2 and Ex 3. Lone told us all the kittens were very beautiful! Niitti was very calm and played carefully with the toys of our judge. Diva's hind legs trembled, when I took her to the judge, but the trembling stopped quickly, when she noticed there isn't any more dangers there than anywhere else in this world.  With flashing eyes Diva stand on the table, I don't want this anymore-expression on her little face. 'She is a queen, who wants to decide. You have to practise her', told Lone of Diva. Pretty well said, such a little, stubborn cutiepie Diva really is. Tender was at the show as calm gentleman as he is everywhere. I am sure it was so very good for Diva, that she was able to be, at her first show, in the same cage with papà Tenderino, to sleep under his arm, to be a pillow for him, to play with his tail, all day. So sweet! On Sunday it was Taika's turn to go to the show. Also there were Typy (FIN*Zarin Xena, own. Esko Karen), who got Ex 4 in class 11, as well as Taika's children Molly (FIN*Zarin Dolce Vita, own. Linda Väänänen) and Dante (FIN*Zarin Dante Alighieri, own. Esko Karen). Typy was just like her mother (PR&EP FIN*Zarin Blue Billie Holiday), as calm and kind. Luigi Comorio from Italy was our judge on Sunday. Taika got CAC, also she was BIV-adult/kitten, were nominated too. Dante and Molly got both Ex 1 and Dante was nominated to the panel. Molly was more or less shocked during the judgment, but Dante wasn't stressed at all; he had a short afternoon nap at the panel, to the amusement of the public. And Diva... So different ways brothers and sisters experienced the thrilling moments of a show!

Tender's and Taika's 'Magic-children' are tomorrow already 10 weeks old. Dolce looks the most like Taika and Dante is just like his father, little Tender. The kittens all have their own look, but their characters are quite similar. They play and run, of course, as kittens should do, but also they are very kind, sweet little ones, which purrs and talks a lot. Though not with so loud and demanding voice than 'Chocolate-boys'. Cioccolato	Some photos of 'Chocolate-boys'. It is almost impossible to get any fine photos of them, because they either run, jump and climb or eat and sleep. They really don't have time to 'sit still and smile to the camera'. Both boys have grown a lot, they are happy, funny, active, strongly built boys, who has huge paws. The outlook the boys probably have gotten from some of their more distant relatives, because they really don't resemble so much their mom Talita or daddy Tender.

Gilda's kittens have all moved to their homes.
First moved Alba, 'Siiri' and Astro, 'Maisa' to Liisa's, Ari's and their childrens' home here in Helsinki.
Next ones were Amuleto, 'Mauno' and Amore, 'Martti' and they lives now at Arja's and Timo's home in Mikkeli.
Ancora, 'Ilja' was the last one to go and he moved to Leena, Erkki and  Miska (FIN*Zarin Xerxes) in Halikko. All the kittens are very fine at their new families; to Alba and Astro it was maybe the most exciting to leave their mom, brothers and all the other cats here. Amore and Amuleto began to feel at home at once and it took about 2 hours to Ilja and Miska to make friends.

Taika's kittens have very sophisticated, famous names - from the literature, the movies, the art of Italy. The first born male is Dante Alighieri, second male Donatello and the females the first one Divina Commedia and the second one Dolce Vita! Many thanks, again, to Francesco of the best names to Talita's and Taika's kittens!

8.5.2008. Some photos of Talita's 'Chocolate-boys'. The kittens still grow very fast, the weight more than 700 grams already. The males have had, from the beginning, very different outlook. But their characters are almost the same, at least now; both are very brave, playful, kind little males, also quite talkative (they have a lot to say, as well as daddy Tender :-)). Even scream, when I weigh them or they are lifted too high!

3.5.2008. Some photos of Gilda's kittens. It is already much easier to tell the difference between the kittens, though still sometimes, when I just take a quick look, I can't be totally sure who is who... before to take a better look. It can be seen already some differencies in their characters too, Amore and Alba are absolutely the wildest ones, Astro very feminine, Ancora and Amuleto enjoy to sprawl more than the others. The kittens are playing a lot, of course, but purring a lot too, as soon as they calm down a little.

Too soon Too soon after Nicky we lost also Arina, who got a malignant teat tumour, which very quickly grew too big and spread also to the lymph follicles. There was nothing to do to get Arina better. Brave little Arina slept away on Monday 14.4., just soon after her 15th birthday. Arina maybe didn't have all the outlook qualities of Russian Blue just it is written in the standard, but the more she had gotten a wonderful character! Arina was our little police, who very often was lying in the middle of everything, tried to tell to the other cats what was proper to do and what was not. Though the others didn't care so much of Arina's growlings, because she never cared what they really did, was just talking. Arina wasn't ever angry to anybody, she was a very gentle, peaceful little cat. Arina liked other cats, but people she loved more than anything! And people loved her.If Arina was sitting in the climbing tree, taking a look of the outside life, and there was a ring at the door, she started to growl and run under the sofa. But as soon as she heard there was some people coming, she came to see them, no matter,
if she knew them or not. Arina climbed to their shoulders, like a cat boa, her head in the other shoulder, the back legs in the other, butted with her head, purring. Arina was a gourmet, she always wanted something from the coffee table, and also got, a piece of cake, biscuit, other pastries... Arina was a very sensitive cat, who knew if I was sad. Then she came to my lap, put her front paws to my shoulders, butted and purred. Like she would have comfort me to say, there is nothing to worry about, everything will be fine. Sweet little cat. Have a safe trip my little Friend, to the rainbow bridge, to the green fields, to the sunshine, to run after butterflies, to catch flies - with your best friends Nadja and Nicky.

13.4.2008. Some photos of all the kittens, taken this weekend.
Male number 2 on the left, male number 1 on the right	Talita's kittens have grown very much. They are only  1½ weeks old and already weigh about 300 grams. I wonder if Talita has at all milk but cream :-)? The first born male opened his eyes already when he was 6 days old, the second one just this weekend. The kittens have also gotten their names. Because they are quite dark and their father is from Milano, the males are 'Chocolate Boys', but of course Italian style, Cappuccino con Cacao and Cioccolato al Latte.

Taika's kittens have already traveled quite a lot! Taika takes very good care of them, but also would like to take them with her when she is leaves the nest. So, some of them have already been downstairs, where they usually get about in 7 weeks age!

8.4.2008. More little Tenderini!
4 little Tenderini, Taika (Magic)-babies were born last night! The first couple, a male and a female, came about at 11 at night. Then Taika and Mandi slept, hugging each other, until almost 6 in the morning (I was all night somewhere between to be asleep and to be awake), when rest of the kittens, a female and a male, were born. I am sure it hurt Taika quite much to get the first one, a big male kitten out. She lied in her nest her head in my hand or run all over the room. Poor Taika. When the first kitten was out, the rest of them came very easily. Also Mandi took part of Taika's delivery. When I was on my knees in the fornt of the nest, Mandi sat on my back, we both staring if there is any kitten coming out. In the morning also Gilda came to see the kittens. Taika is purring all the time to the kittens, bakes with her paws, looks like she is smiling. Taika is so extreamly happy!!!	Taika

7.4.2008. Fedja!
Fedja (GIP & IC Silverlock's I Believe In U) in Turku. Photo Peter Forsgård	Fedja did so excellent at the shows last year! He was both, the best Russian Blue adult and neuter in Finland. In Swedish Russian Blue Klubben Fedja shared the first fertile place with 7 other Russian Blues and was the best neuter too. Fedja was also the best neuter in Suomen and Pirkanmaan Rotukissayhdistys as well as in the second place in Kissaliitto. As a neuter Fedja was at 14 shows last year. He was BIV 7 times (every time, except once, when BIV was possible). 11 times he was nominated and once he was also BOX, 7 times BIS and once even BOB.

12.3.2008. Mandi's kittens have moved to their new homes!
Little Zelda and the chairs Zelda just loved those transparent chairs; it was so nice to play there! Zelda lives now in Tuusula, where little energetic kitten has so many people, bigger and smaller ones, and her own cat relatives with whom to play.
A boy, a ball and a panda It was very hard, almost impossible, to take photos of Ziggy when he was running and playing. There was only toys left in the photos... Ziggy loved to sleep with panda and there he was so sleepy, that I even could get some photos! Ziggy moved to Espoo where is, except his people, also a little female kitten Yasmin, with whom to play. Ziggy is called now Oiva and Yasmin Ansa.

Little sweet Zsa-Zsa Zsa-Zsa was from the beginning the most cautious of the kittens, maybe also the most wise one? They say that it is wisdom to be cautious. Zsa-Zsa lives now in Ylöjärvi with family Sahamies.

Yesterday in the late afternoon Gilda got 5 kittens. There is 3 males and 2 females. I saw of the shape Gilda's stomach that very probably she will have 3 or 5 kittens, the stomach was also big, but still I wasn't sure if there will be so many than 5. When the first kitten was born, and weighed only 87 grams, I was sure there will be 5. So it was, the kittens were born in about 1½ hour. Gilda and the kittens seems to be fine now!	Gilda

Nicky 8.1.2008. Nicky lived from January to January; between those months there was almost 17 years healthy and happy life of a cat. Nicky, Niksu, Niki, Nikutin was a cat of the opposites. He was a big cat with a severe look, which made many to respect him. He was the kindest, most calm, friendliest, most wise cat. My other cats competed the favour of Niksu. Nicky was a real gentleman everywhere; at the home, at vets and shows. Nicky was a brave cat, who wasn't afraid of almost anything. Nicky said hello to all the people who came here. He butted them with his forehead, and it wasn't any little butt! So many of us were so fond of Nicky, the charming gentleman. Nicky was very healthy all his life, and to the very end. After Christmas Nicky became more tired, didn't want to eat anymore, wasn't able to walk more than a few steps. The respected old Nicky didn't react to almost anything, I saw he didn't feel good anymore. The hard decision had to be made, that the dear friend didn't have to suffer. I miss Nicky very much. But in the other hand I am very happy I had that precious cat so many years in my life. The memories won't ever die.
